The path to becoming a Catholic

When I started writing this blog it was going to be about the Cabinet Makers journey through advanced CAD/CAM systems and expensive machinery.  I'll still talk about that because its been whats put bread on my table for a lifetime and I have a lifetime of friends from the business.

I've begun another journey now through thats been on my mind for a long time.  I've always claimed to be a Catholic but never baptized.  My wife and I took our first step today June 9, 2011 also the Birthday of our first grandson who turned 14 today.  We spoke to a Deacon today and set up a meeting so not a huge step but out first real step.  I feel good about it and it's been on my mind for years now but became more urgent when my Father passed away four years ago.  Dad was a do'er he never left what could be done today for tomorrow.  A volunteer and always ready to help a person in need Dads passing left a hole in my soul that I've filled with volunteering my time with Tax Preperation and whatever other opportunity to help came my way.  I've made some great friends with Utah Community Action Program and plan to help them as long as I can.
