This Blog is meant to help you through the learning curve
of going from manual cutlists, cutting parts on a beam saw, panel saw, table saw... to getting the most out of your material and personnel to be competitive in this market that drives us to cut costs without sacrificing quality or the morale of our workers.
So the Sales Guy came to your shop and after showing you what his software could do you bought in and now it's been months or years and still it's not helping you be more productive?
Been there and done that.
My software was Microvellum and it's great software but until I had the Nested Base machine on the floor theres always been something more important to do than learn the software. I had dabbled in it and knew the basics but now the heat was on and I had to start sending jobs to production.
That was a few years ago and now Microvellum is the heart of our production. The potential of this software to help us price our product and control inventory has yet to be tapped but we're on the way.
Sound Familiar?
My goal is to to help people through the most painfull part of the change from cutlists and the mistakes that come with them to world of computer generated cutlists and the mistakes you'll have to weed out of what looked so slick when the sales guy did his packaged demonstration. In order to make the software work for you we need to.
Gett the system to work with the way YOU build cabinets.
Produce reports to your people that keep it simple and on as few pages as possible.
Make it easy to enter Your Cabinetry with the options you offer into the software.
